Welcome to Pediatric Dentistry North

Pediatric Dentistry North began as the solo practice of Dr. James Roche in the late 1940s. Dr. David Morgan assumed the practice in 1968, working from his office on the northeast side of Indianapolis for over 20 years. In the early 1990s, Dr. Bruce Vash joined Dr. Morgan, and the practice moved to the North Meridian Street corridor at 8802 N. Meridian St. Dr. Vash retired in 1990.

Dr. Scott Morgan has been practicing pediatric dentistry with his father since 2002. On September 1, 2009, the practice moved to its current location at 9002 N. Meridian St.

For over 60 years, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the highest possible quality of comprehensive dental care for pediatric and special needs patients. Drs. Scott and David Morgan and our team of professionals are dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal dental health for a lifetime in an environment that is both professional and personal. Each patient is given the individual attention and personal care that we would give to our own children.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

As children develop from toddlers to teens, their dental care needs change. Children’s dentists are specialists dedicated to the oral health of children, trained to meet children’s physiological, psychological and behavioral needs as they relate to oral health.

Pediatric dentists’ training enables them to provide the most up-to-date, thorough treatment for a wide variety of children’s dental problems. A child’s mouth is not as developed as an adult’s, so a specialist’s care and expertise can help ensure any maturation issues are appropriately addressed.

Apart from the physical differences, young people respond to new experiences and potential anxieties in their own ways. Pediatric dentists make a particular effort to alleviate fears and foster trust with their young patients. In fact, they are trained to treat special patients who may have emotional, physical or mental disabilities.

That trust extends away from the dental chair, as sound dental care is a daily practice. Habits form early, and children’s dentists help kids learn how to care for their teeth on a regular basis to prevent dental problems.

Because of this specialized training and commitment to comprehensive oral health, many parents decide that a pediatric dentist is the best choice for their children’s care.
